A. Terms of Service Updated to Version: 03/29/2005. Changes made to assure Fiction Ratings are better protected under established United States and/or International trademark laws.
Important change(s):
I. Under Section 3, Usage Terms, following condition has been added: Fiction Rating users must submit to FictionRatings.com at least one published item for each rating used, every 3 months or when requested by FictionRatings.com, to be used for verification of compliance to Fiction Rating guidelines.
II. Under Section 2, Free Use Conditions, we have removed the restriction to disallow using Fiction Ratings for content that require reader registration to access. Publishers which have a closed but free and non-profit publishing system can now be qualified to use Fiction Ratings.
B. New supplemental Fiction Rating: B has been added to fill the rating age gap and is intended for literary content for preschool level and younger children.
C. Fiction Rating: K's recommended minimum age has been decreased to 5 from 6 in response to positive usage feedback.
Please note Fiction Rating graphic symbols have been slightly updated to the finalized version. If you downloaded any Fiction Rating symbols prior to 03/28/2005, please verify you have the latest version.
